According to a father of two who lives in Doha, powerful explosions shook the area, but Qatari officials
did not warn residents to seek cover, he told CNN.

Our children were completely unprepared and unsure of exactly what to do until we hurried them to safety. Authorities in Qatar did not issue a warning to seek cover. He stated, "It looks like there is quite a lot of sending fire and intercepts."

The military ministry of Qatar claims to have stopped an Iranian missile attack with no casualties.

A missile attempt against Qatar's El Udeid Air Base was "successfully" intercepted by the country's air defenses, according to the defense ministry, which also stated that no one was killed or injured.

The Islamic Revolution Guard Corps claims that Iran attacked a Qatari air base in a "powerful and destructive" manner.

In reaction to the United States hitting its nuclear facilities, Iran conducted a “influential and destructive missile attack” on Qatar’s Al Udeid Air Base, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps stated in a statement.

"Any aggression against the Islamic Republic in Iran's territorial integrity, power, or national security will never go unanswered," the statement said, citing the faith and pride of the Iranian people.


US diplomats are in "walk and cover" mode at their embassies in Bahrain and Qatar.

As Tehran launches ballistic missiles towards Qatar and Iraq, US workers at the embassy in Bahrain and Qatar are in "duck and cover" positions, CNN was informed by various people familiar with the situation.

According to insiders, the precaution is implemented when there is a warning of impending danger.

Two people familiar with the situation say the United States is monitoring several missiles fired from Iran at U.S. military installations in Qatari as well as Iraq.

In accordance to an anonymous White House official, Joint the Chiefs of Workers Chairman Dan Caine and Pentagon Chief of Staff Pete Hegseth are in the Scenario Room.

Earlier, a senior official stated that officials from the Defense Department and the White House were keeping an eye on possible threats to attack Qatar's Al Udeid Air Base. Trump informed the soldiers at base on May 17 that a trip to the Gulf would not be complete without pausing to honor those who defend America's freedom, security, and strength.
